Newborn Safety is of paramount importance for our genre. Newborn Photographers focus is on creating beautiful images for their clients, but at what potential cost? As photographers, we are handling the most delicate of human beings for our clients and first and foremost, newborn safety is what is most important as a parent, as photographer, and as a business owner.
Being a passionate advocate for safety, I wanted to bring together 4 photographers who I admire and respect not only as photographers, however more-so for their clear and unrelenting passion for safety and creating a strong and steadfast industry for our entire community.
Luisa Dunn – http://luisadunnphotography.com.au. Luisa has been a natural light photographer for over 20 years and discovered her love of working with newborns and babies in 2010 when she was asked to photograph a the new baby of a family member. She regularly teaches and mentors photographers around the world and is the creator of the The Perfect Posie. She is the 2018 RISE Up award for community service to the photography industry.
Kristen Mackey – https://www.sonkissedphotography.com. Kristen has been photographing newborns for over 10 years and in addition, has taught over 1000 photographers about newborn photography. She wants people to succeed as photographers and in their business and as such she was the perfect person to bring on our forum of experts.
Amanda Cowan – http://amandamareephotography.com.au Amanda is a neonatal intensive care nurse who has passion for photographing newborns. Amanda regularly calls on her experience when photographing newborns and has an incredible knowledge regarding newborn safety.
Rebecca Connolly – https://www.northsydneynewbornphotography.com.au. Rebecca is a photographer on the northside of Sydney, Australia. She has been photographing newborns for over 7 years and has extensive experience in the legal realm, making her the ideal photography to impart her opinions on the subject of safety.
The Newborn Safety Forum was an incredible few hours where we all discussed our own personal views and opinions on some of the major safety concerns and procedures to get out into the industry safe practices worth investigating and implementing in your business.
