Chin on Hands is where I bring the baby’s elbows forward, cross their little hands over, up underneath their chin. This pose is one of my most requested poses, because of the simple nature of the pose. My top 3 tips for achieving this pose beautifully are:
SAFETY TIP
Avoid putting pressure with your fingers on the temples and the soft spot on the top of the baby’s head when positioning them.
LIGHTING ANGLE TIP
Position the baby on a 45 degree angle toward the light, with their head turned away from the light.
SOFTENING THE LIGHT
For a softer look when working with natural light, move your subject further away from your window.
